There's a Gibraltar boom that is like 10$ more than the proline one. I HIGHLY advise against getting anything made by proline. I Have a couple Atlas stands, but only proline booms. The female threads seem to strip out on me all the time. What I really wish is that they would make a stand that has the boom joint and the telescoping part of the base as one piece. I'm ready to get rid of a lot of my shit stands and buy one more nice stand. Does anyone have any thoughts on mic stands. Is there a Latch Lake quality stand that comes in a normal size? Right now Atlas is the reigning champ for me. Latch Lake are awesome, but too big for my needs. Regardless, I would never give up recording on Reaper, since near as I tell Harrison has a long way to go in the "DAW that don't crash and that uses guitar amp plugin" department. Just a little, but.the little seems to improve the low end making the drum and bass FEEL better, more feeling than sound, but you can hear it if you A/B them. I think all of these results are superior to what I had before. I also did a slight eq boost at 4000 and then rendered them. I just adjusted the saturation a bit, and I did add a reverb bus because they were a bit dry. Then I added nothing compression wise, since it was already mastered with T Racks. Then, I took the last 4 Masters that I'd already finished before purchasing Harrison. Now, since the mix is a little warmer then the mix I got from seemed to work out nicely for me. Then.bring it that mix back up in Reaper with T Racks. Sooo.after farking around for a while, what I ended up doing was taking off all of the limiting and compressing on the Master track in Harrison, then rendering that. I liked the results alot.but it still was a little flabby sounding to me. The tracks were recorded in Reaper then imported in Harrison. but.sooo, I mix my first song in Harrison. Anyway.T Racks being a little crisp usually. I was using T Racks to master with in Reaper. Soooo.when we last were together on this, I was explaining how my Reaper Mix and Master are juuuuust not quite there.
